LIV golfers are not often seen taking jabs at each other but again, it’s not like they never do it. For instance, Jon Rahm wasn’t really happy when Brooks Koepka beat him in the LIV Golf Greenbrier this year and well, this isn’t the only example of the rival league’s golfers rooting against each other but you get the gist. Well, something like that also happened recently when Joaquin Niemann’s team took an indirect dig at Crusher’s GC captain Bryson DeChambeau.
In the latest post by the Torque GC’s Instagram fans, they saw all the team members entering a tournament one by one, and surprisingly, Bryson DeChambeau was one of them. The caption on the video was, “We love being the league’s underdogs”, and it doesn’t end there. The caption of the post talked about something entirely different and said that they may not have any fancy YouTube plaques yet they’re still happy.
“0 YouTube plaques, yet to get a million followers,” read the caption. Now, you know who does have a YouTube Gold Play Button? Bryson DeChambeau! This year the golfer achieved two feats, one at the U.S. Open and the other on his YouTube channel. With over 600,000 subscribers and a whopping 66.5 million views across his 90+ videos, he’s built a loyal following that can’t get enough of his unique golf content.

The caption continued with taking the real jab at DeChambeau with the 8-word message, “But 3 wins this year and 4 best friends 🏆🏆🏆. And we love it that way 😉”, continued the caption. Torque Golf Club (GC) celebrated three standout victories in the 2024 LIV Golf League season. Joaquin Niemann shone brightly, securing wins at LIV Golf Mayakoba and LIV Golf Jeddah. Coming back to the YouTube thing, we all know there’s only one reason DeChambeau has been successful in maintaining his golf content career.

And the best part? He’s not just doing it for the views – Bryson DeChambeau genuinely believes that YouTube has helped him connect with golf fans on a whole new level and this has helped him earn the honor of having a YouTube Gold Play Button. “I decided to take it upon myself to show a little bit more of who I am, and quite honestly, it was an eye-opening experience,” he said in an episode of the ‘Break 50’ series alongside Phil Mickelson. But DeChambeau is not the only successful golf YouTuber.
