Dustin Johnson, from 4Aces GC, Bubba Watson from the RangeGoats, and Bryson DeChambeau attended the conference. Joaquin Niemann (Torque GC) was apparently running late, so he couldn’t make it.

The questions covered the vibe check prior to the final showdown and eventually arrived at the prize money. The conversation concluded with a response from DeChambeau on the same. He spoke about what the money meant for the team, with an off-season period ahead of them.

The Scientist iterated that the Crushers have done well through the season. “We’ve all done well this year. But I think having that capital can allow us to do things a little differently.

“For my team, I know it’s probably not going to change. So that actually gives us more flexibility in knowing what we all want to do for next year.” He also stated that this would offer a cushion “for being comfortable with where all the finances are.”

The prize money for the first position is reportedly 14 million dollars. The team finishing second would receive 8 million, and the third and fourth teams would receive 6 and 4 million dollars, respectively.

On the one hand, LIV and PGA Tour have signed a merger, which laid out its basic terms a few months earlier. However, the merger has the potential to be scraped off. And further updates on the merger’s future have not surfaced despite the current season nearing its end.

Speaking on the future of LIV Golf, Ian Poulter shared his conversation with Yasir-Al-Rumayyan, the governor of the Saudi PIF (Public Investment Fund).

The essence of what he said was that LIV golf will continue to exist for years to come. The Monarch of Saudi Arabia, King Salman, apparently loves the concept of LIV and the progress it’s making.
