After months of waiting, Bryson DeChambeau is finally making a comeback. He will be playing at the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play today after missing most of this Season’s events. However, the fans would still have to wait a little longer to see the golfer hitting bombs.
“No expectations,” said Bryson to Golf Channel after his practice round on Tuesday. He explained that since he hasn’t still recovered from his hand injuries completely, he wouldn’t be able to hit the ball powerfully as he used to.

“Am I going fully at it? No. Not even close,” he added. “I won’t be able to go at it until probably Augusta time.”
The golf world has been missing the powerful drives of DeChambeau since the beginning of this year. He hadn’t been able to able play almost all the tournament of this season because of the injuries on his hip and wrist. He even missed the Arnold Palmer Invitational, where he was the reigning champion.

Since the beginning, people have been speculating that his speed training might have caused the injury. However, DeChambeau has constantly been contradicting all those rumors.
Bryson DeChambeau finally shared the real reason behind his injury!
“People are going to say it’s off of speed training and all that and, sure, some of the things have been a part of that,” said DeChambeau. After months, the golfer admitted that the speed training had been a factor for his injuries. However, he also added that his hand further got injured after playing table tennis at the Saudi International.

“I wouldn’t have traded it for anything.” Even though DeChambeau knows his intense training has caused him the injury, he is still confident that it had only helped him.
Although he is not confident of winning, the golfer would be participating in the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play and next week’s Valero Texas Open.

DeChambeau might not be feeling completely healthy as he used to. However, he is not ready to give up. He is sure that he will regain his health until the Masters next month. Possibly, the golf world might see him hit bombs by then.
