The long hours of play have been a topic of talk in the golf world. With the PGA Tour events extended with over 5 hours of play in the final round. It has become a worry for the league. The last event, i.e., the Farmers Insurance Open, which took 5 hours 29 minutes to conclude in the final round, took the attention of fans and the entire golf world. But it isn’t just the worry for the PGA Tour as the curse has been passed on to the International Series India event.
The event featuring Bryson DeChambeau‘s debut on the course along with ex-LIV golfer Eugenio Chacarra and 13 other LIV players tee-ed off on January 30th for the first round. The field has been reduced to 108 players considering the less daylight.
Even though, after consideration, golfers had to face the extended time duration on the first day. Due to the fading light, the play for the first round is extended for the second day just before the second-round tee-offs. The time for the first round continuation is scheduled for 7:35 AM IST (9:05 PM ET). The second round will begin at 9:05 AM IST (10:35 PM ET).
