Ever since the launch of LIV Golf, things in the world of golf have made a 360 degree turn. The changes to be brought by the newly formed Saudi-backed league were expected. But, with time, the scene keeps getting more complicated. LIV Golf has been demanding world-ranking points for its players from the Official World Golf Rankings or the OWGR, and has been struggling in getting them.
However, things haven’t been finalized yet and the process is still waiting to be completed. Considering the same, recently pro golfers, Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau spoke against the prolonged waiting periods. Twitterati, as usual, was quick to react. Was Twitter in favor of the duo, or was it against them?

Bryson DeChambeau and Koepka infuriate fans with their comments
Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau are two famous and talented golfers. Both the players chose to migrate to LIV Golf and reasoned out their shift based on their own past experiences and needs of the future.
Recently, the duo was seen interviewing together. This was a change considering how both parties have formerly had a feud.
You should watch the clip, but essentially the Brooks part went like this:
“Your reaction to the OWGR denying points?”
Koepka: “I hate fence sitting. They need to pick a side. Yes or no.” pic.twitter.com/CznKhnKhAm

DeChambeau and Koepka did not shy away from being blunt and brutally honest in presenting their views about LIV Golf players getting world ranking points.
Bryson said, “They’re delaying the inevitable. We’ve hit every mark in their criteria. To not get points is kinda crazy as, at least I believe, we have the top players in the world.”
He added, “We’re gonna keep dropping down in the rankings until it gets to the point that our rankings won’t ever matter. And that’s what they’re trying to accomplish, and I hope people can see right through that instead of believe the lies they’ve been told.”
Brooks Koepka, also widely known as The Hulk, was not far behind in expressing his opinions on the issue. The pro golfer said, “I just hate when you sit on the fence. Just pick a side. If it’s yes or no, just pick one. So I’m not a big fan of that.”
Twitter was quick to react. However, not everyone agreed with the duo’s contentions.
How did fans react to Bryson and Brooks’s statements?
Ever since LIV Golf came into the picture, the players involved have had to face their share of public scrutiny. While some users sympathized with Bryson and Brooks, most of them had their share of apprehensions to put forward.
Meet the criteria for points. Absolutely should getting ranking but so short of them, there’s no or little chance. Surely their clever agents must have known this when they signed you up!!!

Koepka: "I don't think that's fair. Also … I'm a golfer. I'm not that smart. I try to hit a golf ball into a small hole. Golf is hard enough.”

At what level of success does a person lose all self-awareness or acceptance of rules apply to even them? The thought never occurred to them that they're not bigger than the game? Weird

Brooks was brilliant to watch live today. If the OWGR doesn't reflect that, then it needs to change its name.

It’s what we were all told would happen. You play an exhibition , you don’t get world ranking points for that.

We want the money, and the points, and to play in real tournaments.

The irony… the lack of self-awareness… so good.— gregmacp (@gregmacp) October 7, 2022
it’s not half, but they have 10 or so of the Top 50-60
— Big Droop (@droopy3) October 7, 2022
So will they get 75% of the ranking points as they're on playing 75% of the tournament standard? 54 as opposed to 72 holes?
— Paul Hogg (@PaulHog06055428) October 7, 2022
Nope. That’s literally what we have been told would happen. Oh and by the way that’s exactly what they told you would happen as well. The entitlement of these guys is astounding.

Id love to see several instances of @BKoepka "flip-flopping" to make him the king of it. Any interview I've ever seen him do before LIV was always him being about as blunt and straight to the point as humanly possible.

do you think these guys had any idea of the magnitude of interviews, hard hitting questions, and ongoing legal nonsense they were going to face when signing?
it sounds like they were given a "just sign and it'll be fine" pitch and all of them took it
