Twice in his career, Brooks Koepka has gotten really close to winning his first green jacket. On both occasions, the West Palm Beach local fell just short, finishing a T2. In 2019, Koepka was unable to chase The Tiger as he was tied with Xander Schauffele and fellow LIV Golf pro, Dustin Johnson. In 2023, it was a LIV Golf player, Jon Rahm, who beat him and Phil Mickelson by 4 strokes.
The Masters Tournament and the Open Championship are the only majors Koepka has yet to win in his illustrious career. So he must definitely be bummed to miss out on winning one of them despite getting so close. But that hasn’t stopped his wife from supporting him on the course.
Jena Sims Koepka has always been beside her husband whenever he has taken a big step in his career ever since they got married. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that she was at Augusta National along with their son, Crew Sims Koepka, during the 2024 edition of the event. In fact, she might also be in attendance when Koepka returns to Georgia for the 10th time in his career. At least that is what her Instagram stories seem to suggest…

Jena reshared two stories that showed photos of her and Crew supporting Koepka at Augusta National. They were originally posted by @melissagritterphoto on Instagram. One of them had “Can’t wait !!!!!” written on it through the original share, and Jena added “This Image,” hinting at how much she loved it. Another had no caption from @melissagritterphoto, but Mrs. Koepka wrote “And this one…” on it. It seems that both the adorable pictures are Jena’s fondest memories from her time at Augusta National last year.

Either way, Brooks Koepka will have a mountain to climb if he wants to win the 2025 Masters Tournament. Especially after he claimed that he was better than Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, and Phil Mickelson in a recent interview. In fact, the only golfer Koepka considers better than him is Tiger Woods.
However, what they do tell is that she “can’t wait” to get back to Washington Road to watch her husband perform again. What are the chances of Brooks Koepka actually winning the Masters Tournament this year? Let’s explore the possibilities.

Can Brooks Koepka be a threat at the 2025 Masters Tournament?
There is no question about Brooks Koepka’s ability to compete at the Augusta National. But he might not be the best bet after coming so close twice. In fact, fans can expect the nerves to get the best of him at the 2025 Masters Tournament. Why so?
Koepka’s form has taken a major hit recently. There was a time Brooks Koepka was one of the most feared golfers in the world. But he has since been tamed after his move to LIV Golf. The Koepka of 2024 finished at T45, 9-over par 293, tying with Jon Rahm, who also suffered from the lack of competition in the Saudi-based league. While Rahm’s defense of the title was shocking, Koepka’s failure to have an impact at the event was expected by the fans.
However, unlike Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler might not give up the title so easily. Especially when he is eyeing a piece of history for himself. Scheffler’s comparison with Woods, however ridiculous it may be, still makes more sense than Koepka’s claims – especially when it comes to winning titles consistently. Hence, we can assume that Jena Sims and Crew might be up for another roller-coaster of emotions.
