What’s the best thing about being a parent? If you question the same to the new fathers in the golfing community, they might say that it’s witnessing their child hit birdies like nobody else! And one of the fathers was extremely fortunate to witness their son climb the first step toward that dream. We are talking about the 5x major winner Brooks Koepka.
Koepka began playing golf at the age of ten, but his son, Crew, appears to be catching up with his skills far earlier, at just the age of one. Ever-charming Jena Sims, observed the toddler racing through the garden with an orange plastic golf club just his size in his hand this morning.
Sharing the happy moment, Jena took it to her Instagram, tagging the LIV Golf pro, saying, “Come get your kid.” It may be just a plastic golf club, but Brooks Koepka’s wife is overjoyed to see their one-year-old toddler already showing an interest in dad’s profession.

But Crew’s journey wasn’t the same as now. The toddler was born prematurely and had to spend his initial 20 days in the NICU, and only after that could he go home. At that moment, Koepka, filled with all sorts of emotions, and lovingly wrote, “I love my Crew.”

Premature babies have a skull deformation known as congenital torticollis. An infant with torticollis, often known as a wryneck, has a stuck neck muscle that only rotates the neck in one way. Because their necks are still developing and they spend a lot of time in the NICU, premature babies are more likely to get torticollis. The young fighter Crew Koepka was one of the sixteen percent of babies born prematurely in America.
Little Koepka’s parents also got him a special helmet to support his head. But the new mom has a creative mind. Sims personalized Crew’s helmet with a special touch. She added the logo of Brooks Koepka’s golf team, Smash GC, to the helmet, celebrating their victory in the LIV Golf Las Vegas tournament, creating an “aww” moment across the internet.
