While Brooks Koepka’s second season has seen some competitive golf from him and his team, Smash GC, his wife Jena Sims, has been enjoying the golf. After the birth of their first child, Crew, the couple’s priorities have shifted and their social media has become filled with adorable infant content.
As the LIV Golf season comes to its end, Sims expressed how much she would miss this season, as it was meaningful for her as her son’s first full golf season. She wrote in an Instagram story, “Can’t believe the Smash GC season is almost over! It was Crew’s first full season so it will always be special. Finish strong lads!!”
Little did she know that Smash GC’s season would end much sooner than most people thought. In the Team Championship of LIV Golf, the Ironheads knocked Smash GC out in the first round in a stunning upset. Although Koepka won his match against captain Kevin Na, the rest of his team were defeated. This came as a huge upset because Smash GC was seeded fourth going into the weekend while the Ironheads were seeded 14th.

Jinichiro Kozuma scored a clutch par in the playoff hole was the final nail in the coffin for his and Scott Vincent’s match against Jason Kokrak and Graeme McDowell. The two teams had both won 5 holes each, which then took them to the playoff. In his match against Na, Brooks Koepka displayed his dominance by winning with a score of 6&5. Unfortunately, his team won’t progress to the next rounds, leaving Jena Sims devastated as she comes to terms with the end of Crew’s first full golf season.

In another Instagram story, Jena Sims revealed a monumental piece of information. She started off by saying that she hadn’t been working much since the couple came back from Europe. However, lately, she has been feeling uneasy and “squirrelly” about having to do something.

She then said that she used her mantra, which goes ‘I’m open to receiving’. She reportedly says this and thinks about it whenever she is ready to work. It seems to have worked as she revealed that two major opportunities presented themselves to her for October. She seemed really excited about one of them and could not contain herself, so she had to call her husband.
With Smash GC out of the Team Championship, Koepka will also not be very busy for the rest of the year and could be trading places with Jena Sims while she gets busy.
