Brooks Koepka could not go to the Olympics with his 56th OWGR rank. So, what? His wife, Jena Sims, just got to experience a little ‘charm’ of the Olympics instead. It’s true. She has two tiny gold medals that dangle when she walks and give her the feel of the Games. Still confused? Read along to find out!
Earlier today, Jena Sims shared on her Instagram story how she received a parcel from Athletic Propulsion Labs, aka APL. With much delight and excitement, she wrote in the caption, “Might not have qualified for the Olympics in this life or a past one, but @nastialiukin making me feel like I did in her new shoe drop.” Notably, the merch was made by APL, in collaboration with former US gymnast Nastia Liukin. The five-time Olympic gold medalist took inspiration from her time as a professional gymnast to drop several items that include shoes and bags, among other items.
“It was a feeling unlike any other winning the all-around Gold medal, and I wanted to embody that in each of these three shoe drops,” Liukin’s official website noted.

As for Sims, she also shared a video where she was seen unboxing the shoes and trying them on. Firstly, she pulled out the Women’s TechLoom Bliss in the color ‘Fusion Pink’ retailing at $350 at the moment. The pair is said to feature “embossed Swarovski crystal embellished elastic strap, as a nod to Liukin’s award-winning career, and 24k color and medal accents for the ultimate intersection of luxury and performance” as per the official website. The sole is also decorated with Paris-inspired illustrations.
Expressing how pumped she feels wearing them, Sims exhibited a kick in the air to show her power. She further stated in the video, “When you walk, you can feel the little medal dangling on the back. So cute.” Then she taps her heels three times to get a feeling that she might appear at the Paris Olympics, after all.
As for husband Brooks Koepka, his fate hasn’t been working in his favor. The 34-year-old opted out of the 2024 Paris Olympics owing to his dismal Official World Golf Ranking. Despite winning the LIV Golf event in Singapore, he garnered zero points. The reason? The golf tour’s request for world-ranking points has been denied, owing to 54-hole format, lack of cuts and field size.
Adding insult to injury, his other wins—a T43 at the 152nd Open Championship, a T45 at the Masters Tournament, a T26 at the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open—didn’t rake in enough points for a qualification, relegating him to a dismal 55th spot in rankings. For the unversed, the top two players in the OWGR are automatically eligible for any country, with two players being selected if they are within the Top-15. Unfortunately, Koepka sits in the 33rd spot in the US currently. So, qualifying for Paris would’ve been an uphill battle for him anyway.
On a separate note, it seems like Jena Sims could finally get a moment of relief, especially after the frustrating moments she underwent with Amazon’s feature.

Jena Sims’ recent trouble with Amazon
Sims has often taken philanthropic steps before. This includes taking initiatives for education as well as speaking up and promoting various social causes. This time, when she was excited to clear out teachers’ wish lists, she found the $1.75 trillion valued Amazon not being functional. She expressed her frustration by saying, “What I’m finding is that some of these, like third-party vendors, I don’t know if it’s China; I don’t know where it is; they’re not allowing me to ship to the registry address. So whenever I check out, I’m just removing the thing.“
Although the complexity of Amazon’s shipping policy was an absolute hindrance, Sims did not stop her actions. She revealed in her stories how she was planning to finish with 10 of those addresses that day. Moreover, she also confessed that some of the addresses were not populating, and hence she wished to reach out to the concerned individual to resolve this and start with the shipping process.
