American professional golfer, Brooks Koepka, and famous model, Jena Sims, tied the knot on June 4 this year. As two people of different professions, the two often don’t get to spend time together. Although many wives consider it a defect in their marriage, Sims doesn’t share the same thought. And she has her reasons to believe that.

It is an unwritten rule that newlyweds have to spend time together to have a happy relationship. However, not many can have that “perfect” life. However, that doesn’t mean that the couple is out of love. Koepka‘s wife believes that husband and wife have their own life and have to enjoy them while they last, even if that makes them stay apart for a while.

According to Sims’ recent Instagram Stories, many criticized her for attending events without her husband for almost five months. She tagged one of the recent episodes of Alex Cooper’s famous podcast, ‘Call Her Daddy,’ and added how all the criticizers should listen to it to understand her side of the story.
Furthermore, she wrote, “Also, there’s no rule in the handbook of life that says just because you’re married, your husband has to attend every event with you moving forward.” She added, “Thanks for coming to my TED talk.”

Sims told Golf Digest in 2018 that the couple met each other during the 2015 Masters. Later, she and the four-time major champion went public with their relationship during the 2017 U. S. Open, where a journalist mistook her for his ex-girlfriend. Notably, Koepka won the event, making the couple remembers it as one of their fondest memories.
The couple began to make more appearances with one another. They even filmed a Super Bowl advertisement together in 2021. On March 3, 2021, Koepka popped the question, and Sims said, “yes.”
