During the free time thus imposed, a small interview was conducted between these star players regarding what they felt about the unexpected delay. When the conversation turned into funny banter, Brooks Koepka chose to keep his distance.

Bubba Watson said,We’re all trying to take shelter. There are a few cameras around us too. But what do you think, man? Did you like that you got held up by Harold Varner there?”

Patrick Reed replied, “Yeah, you know, thank God because I know it will not stand there for quite some time and with it coming down I was gonna go ahead and consider trying golf shot and Harold goes ‘Hey, no Hey, period, back up.’ Right when I backed up the lightning thunder cone, so, you know, we’re gonna say Harold got everyone’s back.

Then, Watson looked at Brooks, who was standing around and keeping quiet. The four-time major winner had a look of disdain on his face. Watson said in a sarcastic yet funny tone, “Good talk, man. I really enjoyed it.” Brooks chose to smile back at him. One could witness the look of disdain change on Koepka’s face into what appeared to be a smile.

Brooks Koepka on the influential factor that made him choose LIV Golf over PGA Tour

Koepka, a PGA Tour loyalist, valued the legacy of the Tour. However, with time and the steady turn of events, things changed for this pro golfer. Koepka decided to shift to LIV Golf. He reasoned out his shift by talking about the extra time LIV offers its players.

Koepka said, “It’s not been an easy last couple of years, I think having a little more breaks, a little more time at home to make sure I’m 100 percent before I go play in an event and don’t feel like I’m forced to play right away. That was a big thing for me.”

Koepka has a history of being against the LIV Golf proposals. He claimed to be happy with his PGA Tour status. However, his opinions changed, and he considered the league as a gateway to spending more time resting due to his past injuries.
