Brooks Koepka, Jessica Korda, and Other Golfers Send Love to LPGA Couple Following Life Changing Announcement

Mel Reid is an English golfer who has seen some major milestones in her professional life. She claimed her first maiden victory in October 2020, when she won at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Currently ranked at number 289 in the world, the golfer has had 7 professional wins in her career. Well, this time she has achieved an off-course milestone. The LPGA star recently took to her Instagram and shared some great news, and her announcement is garnering all the love from the likes of fellow golfers, including Brooks Koepka and Jessica Korda. 

Her wife, Carly Reid, was just an equal part of the good news. The LPGA couple looked elated as they shared their personal news with the entire golf world.

Reid has completed 5 seasons on the LPGA Tour and has represented Europe four times in the Solheim Cup. In 2018, the golf pro came out as gay in an online interview. Last April, she tied the knot with her wife, Carly, who is a senior PR and social media manager at Betterworks and also a part-time caddie.

The couple recently announced that they are expecting their first child together. Carly shared a post on her social media with the LPGA golfer, and wrote, “Parenthood here we come. ☺️” She posted some adorable pictures, expressing just how joyful the couple was!

Many fellow golfers congratulated the couple and wished them well. Brooks Koepka wrote, “Congrats!! Happy for you two!!” The elder Korda sister, Jessica Korda,  wrote “Y’all are going to be the best parents 🩷”

Michelle Wie West, who also welcomed her baby girl in 2020, commented, “YASSSSS.” Anna Nordqvist commented, “Congrats guys.“ Jane Park could not control her excitement, and commented, “Omg OMG!!” German golfer Sophia Popov, who also gave birth recently, commented, “Love this!! Congratulations guys!”

The announcement has definitely spread happiness among the golfers. But, the LPGA couple is not the only one who recently shared such news with the fans. One more fan-favorite couple also announced their pregnancy.

Brooks Koepka celebrated his 33rd birthday on May 3. It was indeed a day of double celebration for Koepka fans as he and his wife, Jena Sims, announced that day that they were expecting a baby.

Jena Sims shared an adorable post where she wished him a happy birthday, announcing their joyful news. Sims wrote, “Happiest birthday, the best is yet to come 🤍🤍🤍.”  Their post was flooded with good wishes from the fans. Sims also gave fans a candid sneak peek at her pregnancy diet, just a couple of days after she made the announcement.
