Most famous sports personalities in the world maybe find social media platforms a distraction. As a result, probably many renowned names do not indulge in them. But eventually, they do have to enter the world of media platforms. The latest athlete to do the same is the former Major League Baseball legend, Derek Jeter. As soon as Jeter joined the social media, famous golf professional, Brooks Koepka had an epic welcome for the baseball legend.

Brooks Koepka has an awesome reaction to MLB legend joining Twitter

The four-time major championship winner reacted about the same through his official Twitter account. He tweeted about Jeter joining the social media platform on June 1st, 2022, a few hours after the MLB Hall of Fame member announced that he has officially opened his Twitter account.

Not to forget, Jeter is a five-time World Series champion, a five-time Golden glove winner, and he also received the Rookie of the Year award. The shortstop used to play for the New York Yankees and represented them from 1995-to-2014. He is also a businessman.

Brooks Koepka made the tweet after Jeter made announced that he has officially joined Twitter. Jeter tweeted saying, “Looks like I’ve officially run out of excuses..”. Along with the short statement, he also pasted the link to his profile on May 31st. Later, the American professional reacted to the Major League Baseball legend’s tweet. Koepka had an epic four-word reaction to the former Yankee player joining the social media platform. He reacted by saying, You’ll love it here #RE2PECT”

Unfortunately, golf fans will not see Koepka teeing it up this week at the Memorial Tournament. He is not a part of the field at the PGA Tour event, which will occur at the challenging Muirfield Village golf club. The 32-year-old professional has not played since teeing it up at the 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills Country Club a couple of weeks back.

How did Koepka finish at the 2022 PGA Championship?

The big hitter did not have a good finish to the second major championship event of the year. He ended the tournament with an overall score of eight over par. As a result, Koepka had to settle for a tied 55th position on the leaderboard. Moreover, the Tour professional carded a final round of four-over-par, 74 to finish outside the top 50 at the event. His round of 74 included four bogeys and one birdie on the opening nine holes. As a result, he moved out in three-over-par, 38. Koepka made two bogeys and one birdie on the back nine. In the end, he made the turn in one-over-par, 36.
