Bryson DeChambeau suffered a heartbreaking defeat in what was the climax of his feud with Brooks Koepka. However, his defeat was not the most shocking part of it all. No, more astounding was the manner in which he allowed the latter to crush him and emerge victorious.

The Wynn Golf Club hosted the fifth iteration of The Match on November 26th and it played out to be a wholesome evening. Complimented by the superb commentary of Phil Mickelson and Charles Barkley, Koepka put up a superb performance to outplay his competitor in nine holes only.
A disappointing performance by Bryson DeChambeau in The Match
DeChambeau’s performance hugely disappointed fans all over the world. A mega event like The Match expects top-notch performances by the players and Koepka definitely delivered. However, many fans believed that despite fancy talk of preparation beforehand, DeChambeau failed to deliver.
In fact, it was an easy course set-up as explained by Phil a couple of days ago, so that players could hit ‘potential great shots’. On that course, DeChambeau did not card a single birdie while Koepka registered four birdies, moving far out of the former’s reach.

Fans roast Bryson for his patchy play
Bryson took to Twitter to congratulate his long-time rival and proceeded to express his gratitude. He wrote, “I am glad to have been a part of such an amazing event that was able to raise over $3,000,000 for charity and provide 7 million meals through Feeding America. It’s great to know what I need to work on for next week.”
Congratulations @bkoepka on getting the victory at #TheMatch. I am glad to have been a part of such an amazing event that was able to raise over $3,000,000 for charity and provide 7 million meals through Feeding America. It’s great to know what I need to work on for next week.

Fans dissed him in the comment section and these are some of them-
That was a good old fashioned ass kicking! Well done Brooks! 👏

To be honest with you I can't believe you came into this match that rusty and gave Brooks the pleasure of such route. Not 1 birdie on that course for you is hard to fathom. I played there 3 weeks ago and birdied 3. You're still the man Bryson. Btw I lost 5k on the match.🤦😂

Please don’t tell golf fans “I never take a day off” because when your back gets pushed up against the well you claim “I haven’t played golf in 2 and a half months.” Lose with some dignity Big Golfer, you got spanked and you did not handle it well.

Bro, pretty much everything. Bubbie and Steve would have beat you yesterday.

Good deeds no doubt – but the congratulatory tweet should have been sent much earlier if it was sincere!

If only you had played or practiced in months……no excuses though…. 🤦🏻♂️

Sportsmanship right there, and really being cognitive of what it was really about 👏👏👏

However, his loyal fans were quick to defend him-
Crazy how people follow you just to say bad things. Literally one of the best golfers in the world, nobody should be criticizing

Your back was probably sore from carrying him in the Ryder Cup.

Just wasn't your day, and Brooks obviously played well. Still #TeamBryson all day though! Love that you bring something different to the game!

Should not have been 12 holes. Will not bother watching another “Match” if the organizers do the wonky 12 holes again. A couple of wayward drives cost you along with a cold putter. Watched u first hand at Ryder Cup. Well done!!! Very impressive. 👍

However, the fact is that we’re all human and some days are bound to be bad. Unfortunately for Bryson, his luck abandoned him when he most need it. What do you think?
