Several star golfers at the Trump National Doral, Miami are ready to claim victory, especially Cameron Smith. The captain of Punch GC has big plans to win the LIV Golf invitational series. However, Miami has seen the team of Dustin Johnson, 4 Aces GC, coming closer to claiming the prize money. The three-day championship might take a new turn in the showdown and surprise the fans.

Adding to the intensity of the tournament, the two golfers have challenged each other during a recent press conference. The former world no. 1 Johnson’s performance has been impressive of late, and his team has showcased their skills in Miami. However, the Open championship winner, Cameron Smith, isn’t far behind and is ready to challenge the 4 Aces.

Did Dustin Johnson challenge Cameron Smith openly?

Press conferences are a public affair, and everything said there leads to speculation among both the media and the fans. The official Instagram account of LIV Golf posted a video where Johnson can be seen challenging Smith. When Smith explained his intentions, the former no.1 said, “Bring it.”

The Australian golfer appreciated Johnson’s team and said they were closer to winning the tournament. He said“everyone is out there to beat 4 Aces tomorrow.” According to him, all the teams are focused on defeating the 4 Aces. Smith wants to get out there on the field today and show everyone that teams other can also win the tournament.

The intentions of Smith were clear. He was determined to challenge the team of Johnson, who are on the verge of victory. However, only time will tell which pro golfer will lead their team to glory. But, we cannot deny that Johnson seemed calm and composed during the press conference, believing in his team’s qualities to clinch the title.

How did 4 Aces perform in the tournament?

Team 4 Aces GC led the competition at 15 under, four shots ahead of the all-South African team, Stinger GC. Not to mention, Stinger was the one to set a milestone at the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational London, as they won the trophy.

In the third round, there was a tie for the third position between Crushers GC, Torque GC, and Fireballs GC at 8. Johnson was playing for the first time in the Portland area on Friday. He set the limits high by carding five birdies and one bogey. It was en route to shooting his second consecutive 4-under 68.
