What do you think of Donald Trump’s golf? His granddaughter, Kai Trump also has some thoughts, and they could differ from yours. While the golf world sometimes makes fun of former POTUS’ swing, Kai thinks otherwise.

It happened when Kai was on Grant Horvat Golf’s YouTube channel around a month ago. In the 42-minute-long video, they talked about a lot of things, including Donald Trump’s performance on Bryson DeChamebau‘s YouTube channel. Horvat first talked about the former president’s performance, saying, “He was hitting it so well, I was so impressed.” Right after him, Kai continued the conversation and talked about her grandpa’s performance with a seven-word confession, saying, “He generally gives me a run for my money.”

After this revelation, Horvat asked how close it is when the granddaughter and grandpa duo are playing. As a response, the 17-year-old said, “It’s pretty close; I do have to say it..it’s never really like game over like I won on like 15th hole,” revealing how close their competition goes. While the 78-year-old’s granddaughter finds him as a good golfer, the community doesn’t see Donald Trump as one. He often gets mocked on social media, despite having three club championships to his name.

It wasn’t the first time Kai Trump talked about her grandpa and golf. Back in July this year, the 17-year-old revealed how the former POTUS calls her during the middle of school and asks her about the golf game. And then Kai reminds her grandfather that she is still in school attending classes.

Just like Donald Trump, Kai Trump is also an avid golfer and plans on becoming a part of the LPGA Tour in the future. She dedicates her Instagram and YouTube accounts to the game, has won the ladies club championship at her grandfather’s golf course in Palm Beach, Florida, and has played with some of the biggest stars like Bryson DeChambeau, 3x Reigning World Long Drive Champion, Kyle Berkshire, and more.

She not only plays with Trump but has once played against him and talked about it with Horvat. It happened while Kai was standing in front of a clutch 8-footer. “One time… I was not on his team. And I have to make like, this… like, an 8-foot birdie putt to win. He was trying to get in my head, and he was like standing over me, and right next to me whatever,” said the 17-year-old.

In the end, she managed to beat Donald Trump with the help of a friend, and the 45th US President was happy about it. While they seem to have a good bond on the greens, is it the same outside of the ropes too?

Although they compete fiercely on the greens, Kai Trump and her grandfather share a deeply loving relationship off the course. The 17-year-old revealed that Donald Trump often gives her candies while their parents aren’t looking. She also doesn’t see him as a politician but instead says, “To me, he is just a normal grandpa.”

After winning the ladies’ club championship in Palm Beach, Kai credited her grandfather saying, “I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support,” as revealed on Daily Mail. Overall, they have a typical granddaughter-grandfather relationship, unaffected by the spotlight.
