Playing consistent golf is among the formidable skills to master. But the 15-time major championship winner proved the fact wrong during the 2000 PGA Tour, roughly 22 years back in the timeline. Tiger dominated every event he played and got excellent results.

It was the same year he achieved the Tiger Slam in golf with the help of his former caddie Steve Williams. To complete the incredible feat, Woods won three of the remaining major championship events in the year, namely the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and the Open Championship.

Apart from these three wins, he won the 2001 Masters to become the first professional to win the career grand slam in the modern era.

Throwback to Tiger Woods’ incredible 2000 PGA Tour season

He played 20 events in the 2000 Tour season, and out of the 20 starts, he won nine events, including the three major championships events. He also won a non-official event, the World Golf Championship- EMC World Coup.

At the same time, the World Golf Hall of Fame member finished four times in the second or runner-up position on the leaderboard and ended once in the third position in the season. Surprisingly, he made all the 20 cuts that season. As a result, the former World Number One did not have a single missed cut that year.

The former World Number One one had 17 top 10 finishes and 20 top 25 finishes in the particular PGA Tour season. As a result, Tiger played probably one of the greatest seasons in his long and illustrious career as a golf professional. Moreover, with his nine wins, he joined the list of legends of the game like Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, and Ben Hogan for most wins in a single season.
