The 2025 Ryder Cup captain has taken the reins at Castle Pines Golf Club after the first 18 holes were concluded. Keegan Bradley shot a bogey-free round at the BMW Championship and sat as the solo clubhouse leader with a 6 under-66 opening round. After his first-round excellence, Bradley would be expected to have a better second round with his playing partner, Cam Davis, at 1:40 p.m. EST.
Following the 6-time PGA Tour winner is the 2024 Summer Olympics bronze medalist, and the St. Jude Championship winner, Hideki Matsuyama, is in solo second. The Japanese pro has been in remarkable form in the past few weeks and it has shown even in Colorado. With a score of 5 under 67, Matsuyama will start his Friday round with Collin Morikawa, who is T10, at 11:10 a.m. EST.
While the bronze medalist has taken second place after round 1, where are the gold and silver medalists on the BMW Championship leaderboard? Scottie Scheffler finished his opening round at 1 under 71 at T15 and will resume his BMW Championship run with Xander Schauffele at T7 at 1:20 p.m. On the other hand, Tommy Fleetwood was even after Thursday’s round’s conclusion and finished at T22. He will start his second round at 12:15 p.m. with Chris Kirk.

The Castle Pines, even with their high altitude, did not prove to be much of a hassle for the top 50 PGA Tour pros. However, what did was the unpredictable weather in Colorado. Will the weather disrupt even the second round of the BMW Championship?
Will the weather create havoc on day two of the BMW Championship?
On day one of the BMW Championship, two storms delayed the event by 3 hours and 10 minutes. The players were frustrated and the fans were too, as they felt a miscommunication from the PGA Tour’s side. In the end, the storm subsided and the play was resumed. But will a similar scene be seen on the second day too? Most probably, yes.

What’s your perspective on:
Can Tiger Woods still dominate the BMW Championship, or are his best days behind him?
Have an interesting take?
The second round will start at 9:25 a.m., and according to the weather forecast, the sky will be partly cloudy in the mornings. The temperature will be high at 86°F, with the winds going 10 to 15 mph at such a high altitude. And the bad news is that there will be scattered thunderstorms brewing up in the afternoon with a 50% chance of rain, similarly to what happened in the opening round.
As the weather forecast suggests, there may be a delay on the Friday round, and the fans may get soaked up in the rain. So, if you will be at Castle Pines GC to follow your favorite PGA Tour pro, don’t forget the rain essentials to take with you!
