Misfortune seems to be the theme of the new year for Hailey Ostrom as the golf influencer seemed to be caught up in another unfortunate incident. The 27-year-old, who was recently part of a stalker ordeal, found herself in hot water on yet another occasion. Ostrom, who is known for her former rivalry with fellow influencer Paige Spiranac, took to social media to detail her ordeal.

In an Instagram story, Hailey Ostrom revealed that she is currently on the lookout for someone who can edit her videos for YouTube. “ISO YouTube editor”, it read in large font and red highlights. She then explains her harrowing experience to her followers, regarding a new editor she had recently worked with.

Hailey Ostrom’s mishap with a new editor

Ostrom had content lined up for posting on YouTube. With a deadline in mind, she had sent it to the new editor to work on it. The editor promised her that it would be done within a short period. “He said it would be done weeks ago,” her story explained her position.

However, despite regular follow-ups from her side, the editor failed to keep his end of the bargain. And then, “after constant checking in with him, I pushed to have it done the following Tuesday,” her story clarified. She went on to add that the editor had the video content with him for six weeks and failed to act on it on time.

Despite the change in deadline, the editor went on to do something unthinkable. He blocked Ostrom’s number preventing the Cactus Tour pro from contacting him further. What was even more ludicrous was that the editor “was the one who hit me up asking for work,” Ostrom explained.

Now that the editor is not responding, Hailey Ostrom is looking for a new editor who can work with her on her YouTube content. “So needless to say if someone would like an editing job for my YouTube, shoot me an email with examples of your work pls,” her request ended. She then shared her email ID for potential job aspirants.

The Instagram story-turned-LinkedIn post also ended funnily when she listed out her requirements. “1. Have the video done when you say you’ll have it done, 2. Don’t block my number,” quipped Ostrom, a hilarious jibe at the precarious position, the previous editor put her in.

This is the second unfortunate incident in recent times for Hailey Ostrom, as she was inadvertently involved in an internet scam. She got a message saying that someone had come looking for her at a golf course she frequents, saying that she had asked him to contact her. She dismissed the incident as she thought that it would be a fan. However, things escalated when the man showed up at her doorstep.

Paige Spiranac supports Ostrom’s cause for concern

“It was a very scary situation for me and I have never had anything like that happen before,” Ostrom recalled in her Instagram post detailing the incident. The man left of his own free will but the cause behind his visit made the situation even worse.

The man had been messaging a fake Hailey Ostrom page on Instagram. He then sent $50,000 to that account assuming it was the real Hailey Ostrom. The person with the fake account stopped replying to him, infuriating the man. He decided to turn up at Ostrom’s house to demand an explanation.

While the situation managed to be solved, the question of privacy was brought to the forefront. Paige Spiranac responded below Ostrom’s post, commenting, “I don’t know how many restraining orders or events like this need to happen before platforms start taking this seriously.”  Spiranac herself was a victim of stalking by a 32-year-old fan called Eric. She had to get a three-year restraining order to prevent further trouble from him.

While the series of unfortunate events continue for Ostrom, let’s hope she gets a lucky break and gets a new editor who respects deadlines and does not block her number!
