Billy Horschel is happy and so are we
DP World Tour’s Twitter page recently uploaded videos of Billy Horschel. The first video shows him speaking to the press, after his impressive 66 in the third round. And the second video shows him grinding at practice for the round.
The 36-year-old spoke about how he has been working on improving his consistency and striking. He explained how he had past trouble cutting the ball the way he wanted, which he also mentioned during the Memorial Tournament. Horschel said he has been working on that for the past few weeks, and things just worked out well for him today.
Horschel also mentioned how he changed his putter after this second round, which didn’t go as well for him as the first round. However, his third-round performance exceeded expectations and pushed him up the leaderboard.
"I was trying to groove in what I've been working on for six to eight weeks!" 💪

In the Memorial Tournament this year, Billy Horschel started off as the defending champion, and he was totally disappointed with how he played. Horschel confessed that his confidence was at its lowest of his entire golf career. Putting all that behind, the American golfer is doing great in the ongoing Irish Open.
After the third round, the seven-time PGA Tour winner holds a score of 9-under, all three rounds combined. While he has played through the 18 holes, scoring a 66 on a par 72 course, the round is not over as of writing. The final positions after the third round can’t be determined yet.

Similarly, Horschel turned his par in the fourth hole of round 1, to a birdie in the second round, and an eagle in the third round. This trend repeated in the fourteenth hole where he scored a bogey, par, and a birdie across the three rounds.
