Rory McIlroy wishes Anthony Joshua all the luck ahead of his fight against Oleksandr Usyk
Rory McIlroy addressed the media ahead of the 2020 Ryder Cup. Meanwhile, a journalist questioned him about the British professional boxer Anthony Joshua. He asked Rory whether he had any communication with AJ ahead of his big fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
“No, because the last time I saw him, he was doing his camp in Miami, and then he went up to New York and didn’t have a great night,” said Rory. “But yeah, it’s a big night for him, a pretty big test. I mean, Usyk looks like a really good fighter. And hopefully, unless I am rested on Saturday afternoon, I’ll hopefully be on the golf course, so I won’t be able to watch it. But I wish him all the best and all the luck.”
