On LIV Golf, this has been the year of Talor Gooch, to all intents and purposes. For him switching tours proved to be the most profitable. With wins at three events, Gooch is the richest player on the Saudi Tour this season in terms of prize money earned.

Gooch is hoping to continue the good work at the upcoming LIV Chicago event. But there is something more besides these big wins that Gooch is eyeing. But what he seeks cannot be found on the rival Tour.

This year, Gooch won thrice at different LIV events in Adelaide, Singapore, and Andalucía and won a total of $ 12 million in the individual category. He has also made it to the top 20 in other events, so there are some more big bucks to boast of. But apart from these whopping earnings, there is one more thing that Gooch is looking forward to.

Recently he appeared in a special interview with Fourball. There the interviewer asked Gooch how important it has been for him to be present at home. On this Gooch replied spending time with his family was a big factor in his decision. He says “With LIV was, you know, I know that I’m my best self. I’m my, you know, best golfer, best husband, best father, you know, when you’ll have time away from golf.”

He continues, “And so, super, super excited for another offseason. And yeah, you know, it’s, it’s, like I said, we have another, another baby on the way. And so that’s, that’s due in January. So those November, and December months are going to be nice.”

One of the biggest benefits aside from the money that tempted players to switch to the Saudi-backed league was its much-relaxed schedule in comparison to the PGA Tour. And Gooch is now reaping the benefits of this decision.
