Cameron Smith overcame every hurdle at TPC Sawgrass to secure his first Players win. His game was impressive and resulted in a stunning watch for all viewers. This also included Paige Spiranac, who seemed particularly impressed with his shot at 17th.

While Smith’s start with four birdies was incredible, fans also marveled at his shot at the 17th hole. The ball went right at the hole, which had fans wondering if Smith got lucky.

Spiranac, on her end, had an interesting take on Smith’s shot.

While Smith’s shot did get a compliment from the YouTuber, she also seems to be appreciating his mullet. After all, not everyone on the course can have that mullet and play that well.

Most fans seemed to love Spiranac’s response. They noted that Smith’s mullet was well-loved and will stay that way. Though many agreed that Smith might have gotten lucky, it does not dismiss his ability as a player. Because, in the end, Smith did make most of the situation and ultimately clinched the Players title this year.

Furthermore, not many can deny that Smith’s mullet is a part of his identity. “Don’t know if it’s going to be forever, but yeah, for the time being, it’s hanging in,” Smith had said earlier this year. The 28-year-old has even referred to it as his lucky charm, indicating that it is actually there to stay.

That being said, Spiranac is often known to comment on what’s happening on the tour, and otherwise. Her comment on Smith’s Players Championship win was no surprise, especially since she stays updated with everything going on with the PGA Tour. Despite retiring in 2016, her fanbase has only grown on social media.

On the other hand, this was the fifth PGA Tour win for the Australian golfer. This was also his second win in 2022, the first one being the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Until now, Smith had never won two events in the same year. However, one cannot deny that Smith has been performing better over the last few months.

Ultimately, with the PGA Tour season progressing, one can only hope for more, both for Smith and Spiranac.
