Fans say Adam Scott's better looking and talented than the young guns. Do you agree?

The BMW Championship is already halfway through. After the Friday round, it looks like this time there is an older golfer in the lead. After carding a 4-under 68 in the opening round, the 44-year-old had a magnificent Friday round. He went completely bogey-free, carding nine birdies at the Castle Pines Golf Club. Scott finished with an impressive 9-under 63.

His performance helped him climb his way up from being the second runner-up to a three-stroke lead ahead of Keegan Bradley at the penultimate event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Despite his outstanding performance, Adam Scott has a little insecurity. Among the recent players who have managed to grab the limelight, he considers himself to be a little older.

At the post-round presser, when the Australian player was asked if he felt like the old guy on the tour, he replied, “Yep. Most guys remind me every day.” The official Instagram account of the PGA Tour took to their wall and shared his response with a smiling picture of the professional golfer. They captioned it, “Leading the way even as the “old guy” 😂 44-year-old @AdamScottOfficial looks to secure his 15th TOUR win @BMWChamps.”

However, the 44-year-old PGA Tour pro’s view of himself on the Tour was quickly dismissed by his fans on the internet.

Golf world fawns over Adam Scott’s looks

Adam Scott might think of himself as an old guy, given that most of the significant players are still in their 30s! Be it Scottie Scheffler, who is 28 years old or 30-year-old Xander Schauffele, who made it to the headlines by winning two majors in one season. The age difference between the veteran golfer and the World No. 1 and No. 2 is almost a decade.

In his prime, the Aussie, who fashioned his swing after Tiger Woods, was considered one of the best ball-strikers in the game. He grabbed his first professional win on the European Tour with his exceptional shots at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa. He beat Justin Rose by one stroke and left the entire golf community baffled by his performance back then. Or his winning stroke at the 2013 Masters, his only major win.

Scott has always been exceptionally smooth with his clubs and balls on the course. Taking to this, one of them even complimented him, saying, “One of the best swings I’ve seen in the game 🔥”.

Adam Scott turned pro back in 2000. It has been over two decades since he started playing on the circuit as a pro and he has also managed to bag a total of 32 wins in his professional career. But the 14-time PGA Tour winner has not had a win since the 2020 Genesis Invitational. It has been over four years since he lifted a trophy on the course. Nonetheless, for his fans, Adam Scott is still one of the top players in the history of golf.
