It is still a debate whether the PGA Tour added the new elevated tournaments due to its rival, LIV Golf Invitational Series. Nonetheless, everyone can agree that it is Jon Rahm who got the most advantages from them. After winning only two of them this year, which offered massive purse money, the Spanish golfer’s bank account has already become heavier than many other professional golfer’s entire careers.

Victory at Genesis Invitational helped Jon Rahm become top of the money list

Tiger Woods has been decorating the all-time career earnings list on the PGA Tour. Of course, it will take years for Rahm to break the golf legend’s record. However, his three victories have helped him earn more than any other golfers in the 2022-2023 season.

Rahm’s PGA Tour profile says that the golfer has earned $9,864,750 by playing in 6 events he played this season. The 2023 Genesis Invitational, which offered the most purse money of them all, $20 million, helped him get $3.6 million richer overnight

According to a Golf Digest Instagram post, winning $9,864,750 means the Spaniard earned around $1.8 million per event, $470,000 per round, and $26,111 per hole. Above all, this makes him earn $6,999 per shot.

Earning a massive amount for his every shot made the golf world surprised. For his great achievement, many appreciated Jon Rahm with their comments:

With his 2-shot lead victory over American golfer Max Homa, Rahmbo surpassed Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, who now decorates no.2 and no.3 spots, respectively, on the OWGR table.

Notably, the world no. 1 golfer already owns the spot at the top in the FedEx Cup rankings by earning 2000 points.
