It was the par-4, 17th hole. Jon Rahm was lining up the ball on the greens nicely for a birdie. He looked on with immense focus and he hit the ball. The spheroid slowly moved towards the hole. All seemed well, but sadly, he missed to the left. Now, after the close call, if you think the Spaniard took it in stride and moved on, you’re sorely wrong!

Every golfer would have one of those days, and it seems the Spaniard was close to having the same as he shot par on the 17th. Why? Well, the golfer was visibly annoyed at the outcome of the shot, which, if successful, would have helped him clinch a lone T3 place after day two.

The Spanish pro couldn’t believe his eyes following the close miss he suffered on the 17th. Expressing his disbelief at the same time, he exclaimed, “How is that f**king possible, man?” while alluding to the ball that missed the hole. This led to him being tied for third place with Matthew Wolff and Peter Uihlein.

The professional seems to have let himself go after learning that the Saudi-backed league would not impose any sort of penalty for the same on the athletes. Interestingly, the skipper and his teammate, the hot-headed Tyrrell Hatton, were informed of the same a day before the first event took place in Mayakoba.

Moreover, this is not the first time he has cussed out on LIV Golf. During his debut tournament, the Legion XIII GC captain exclaimed, “F**k. Get lucky,” while hitting the tee shot at the 18th hole on the back nine. The swearing came out following the golfer’s hunch that the ball might not be landing in the place where he ought to have hit it. Well, he was right. It ended up in one of the bunkers.

The golf world was able to witness a similar situation at the Las Vegas Country Club as well, following the unfortunate attempt at putting. However, this time around, it appears the community was left divided on their opinions surrounding the recent dropping of the F-bomb by the 29-year-old.

Another LIV Golf hater shared his displeasure with the circuit. They went ahead and mentioned how this would be the same reaction for a person watching the disruptive tour on television.

However, some followers were amused by the Spaniard and his reaction. They took to the comments section to convey their love for the idea of the hot mic being able to capture the natural reactions of professionals.

Yet another hot mic fan! However, this time around, the enthusiast was very excited about the same, as they pointed out how Pat Perez underwent a similar experience at the LIV Golf event in Las Vegas.

Here comes a hilarious response from one of the fans. The enthusiast compared Rahm to a kid who was allowed to shout out a single curse word for the day by Mom and Dad. The parents here obviously refer to the Saudi-backed league!

Another golfer was visibly happy with the whole hot mic situation. They went ahead to compare the professionals to amateurs like themselves, who also cuss out similarly when such a situation occurs.

Currently tied at T3 on the leaderboard, the Spaniard would look to come out guns blazing on the final day at Las Vegas to clinch the top position. Meanwhile, he would also hope to avoid similar situations on the greens on Saturday.
