Bernhard Langer has one of the most decorated careers in golfing history as a senior. He has forty-six wins, just one more than Hale Irwin (45) for the most in PGA Tour Champions history. His last win came in July 2023, at the US Senior Open. But well, as it turns out, there is a high chance that the 67-year-old might be very close to his forty-seventh victory.

The German player is currently teeing off at the Phoenix Country Club in Arizona. After fifty-four holes, he entered the final round of the 2024 Charles Schwab Cup with the solo lead. With five birdies and a bogey on the fourth hole in the third round, Langer has a one-stroke lead ahead of Steven Alker. And if he continues this momentum, he might clinch the trophy in a few hours.
