Tiger Woods might be enjoying his time off course as the new director on the PGA Tour but his happiness appears to have been taken away by one of his ex-girlfriends. Woods was in a relationship with his restaurant manager Erica Herman between late 2017 and late 2022. This relationship met a nasty end as Herman filed a lawsuit against an NDA.

As per the lawsuit, Herman seeks compensation of $30 million after Woods’ Trust employees removed her access to the residence and her belongings were thrown out. After Erica Herman was forbidden to return to the house, she sought legal help for the loss. And now a new twist in the story takes place as her lawyer has made bold claims.

Recently Herman has filed a 53-page brief in a Florida state appeals court after her plea was denied in May. Her attorney Benjamin Hodas has claimed that she is a victim of sexual harassment by Woods and should not be forced to seek private arbitration.

Hoda cited from the brief: “Congress recently passed the Ending Forced Arbitration Of Sexual Assault And Sexual Harassment Act of 2021, precisely to prevent a plaintiff like Ms. Herman from being forced into arbitration by a former boss and sexual partner related to her employment and sexual relationship.”

According to the recently enacted federal law, all non-disclosure agreements (NDA) and forced arbitration in cases of sexual assault or harassment are considered invalid.

Herman has previously stated that Woods began a sexual relationship with her when she was working as an employee for him and threatened her with unemployment if she refused to sign an NDA about it. She also says that she doesn’t recall signing the NDA.

Earlier in March Herman filed a lawsuit against Woods’ trust claiming that she had an oral tenancy agreement to stay in his Florida residence and that she was thrown out of it. Her new brief says: “In October 2022, a dispute arose between Mr. Woods and Ms. Herman, about whether she would be permitted to continue living in the house and whether their relationship would continue. Mr. Woods did not take the dispute to arbitration. Instead, he deployed a scheme of trickery and threats to eject Ms. Herman from the house, take her personal property and pets, and break up with her.”

She demanded $30 million as compensation but later in June she dropped the lawsuit herself. With her recently filed petition, Herman has made a big strike on Woods, again. The next few days would rather be interesting.
