In a 2016 video captioned “Super awkward celebration for the win”, a very young Paige is playing golf, perhaps in her apartment. She hits the ball toward the wall in front, representing the hole from the golf course as a hollow cup sitting diagonally to the wall. And the best part? Paige Spiranac makes it to that hole.

She used the same video for her story, albeit with text that said, “It was very difficult balancing playing pro and social media. I had to do social media to play golf. Pro golf is unbelievably expensive and challenging. It looks like a dream job, but it is such a grind emotionally, physically, and financially.”

She revealed that in 2015, as an amateur, she never saw a woman on the golf course. And the two career paths in the game were – you turn pro or go to broadcasting. However, she always wanted to create digital content and play. She always had a soft corner for making videos and connecting with people online. So, she started doing sponsorships on social media to pay for her golf career. And in 2017, everything shifted.

In 2017, she stopped playing and entirely focused on content creation. By then, many women were getting involved in the game and using social media to promote it as well. And Paige Spiranac is literally the first of them. And she is also living what she dreamed. She creates content online and is very much in touch with the sport.
