‘Beautiful Giant’ Nelly Korda’s Presence Beside Her Playful Solheim Cup Teammate Triggers Curiosity in the Golf World

As we already know, the most coveted event of the women’s golf circuit, the Solheim Cup, is almost around the corner, taking place from September 22 to September 24 at Finca Cortesin, Spain. Now, preparations for this biennial event are also at their peak. Additionally, Team USA, which has had a major drought for the past two Ryder Cup editions, needs to redeem itself and reach glory this season.

Otherwise, the team will be defeated for the third time by Team Europe. Now, amid the pre-tournament practice sessions and warm-ups, a playful sight of friendship between Nelly Korda and another LPGA pro captivated attention and took center stage. 

Nelly Korda’s appearance beside fellow LPGA player intrigues golf world

The USA team in the Solheim Cup has a playful environment in the squad. Moreover, even if one takes a look at the bonds among the LPGA stars, those are not just professional connections. One such example is set by the Korda sisters and Megan Khang. 

The three share a special bond outside the course and go on coffee dates as three musketeers. Khang, who is a self-proclaimed coffee maniac, is often joined on her cafe hunts by Nelly over the weekends. Other than these, Nelly and Megan also share an intimate friendship. Korda once arranged a surprise for Megan as compensation for not being able to witness her triumph at the CPKC Women’s Open.

In the press conference, she talked about the same thing. “I really wanted to make sure that she came home to a couple [of] balloons, nice flowers from her boyfriend, and I just wanted to make her feel special.” This gesture made Khang cry.

Now, another playful sight takes the spotlight as the duo prepares for their penultimate patriotic showdown. In the video, Nelly can be seen standing beside Megan, and the former seems gigantic, given her tall stature. According to stats, Nelly’s height is around 1.78 meters, while Megan Khang’s is 1.55 meters. This video led to some comments from the fans as well.

One golf enthusiast even called Nelly “beautiful giant”. Another joined in the same context and called Megan “tiny” and said that Nelly is literally “towering over”. Again someone else commented, “Tall Nelly and Short Megan! A perfect combination of adored friends”. These remarks clearly reflect the curiosity people had after coming across the video. 

The Korda sisters wish Megan Khang a happy birthday

Back in 2021, the Korda sisters shared posts from their respective social media handles to wish Megan Khang a happy birthday. First, Nelly shared three stories where the first two pictures showed Korda and Khang wearing similar golf outfits. Then in the next picture, she wrote, “To my favorite Bish of all time!!! I can’t wait to see you in a few week.” 

Following that, Jessica also shared a post. The portrait had the Korda sisters and Khang sitting in a restaurant, and along with the post, she wrote “Happy birthday to our honorary Korda sister”.
