Tiger Woods has suffered from numerous injuries and setbacks throughout his career. In 2015, he underwent back surgery to alleviate pain and discomfort caused by a pinched nerve.

After the surgery, Woods was forced to take a break from golf and was unable to compete for several months. This time away from golf brought a very humorously humbling experience for him. Despite the setback, Woods was determined to make a comeback and worked tirelessly to regain his strength and form.

In 2016, the former no.1 made an appearance on the “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” to discuss his comeback in the world of golf. He had returned to the sport after a hiatus due to back surgery. 

Woods talked about the challenges he faced during his recovery and his plans for the future. During the interview, he asked if he had a humbling experience during his time off the course.

The legend discussed practicing golf all day long was something that’s his thing. But his recovery protocol did not allow him to go through the course. “You know I like to practice and compete all day. That’s one of my things. I like to grind it out,” he said.

So, he instead shifted his focus to Call of Duty. “I applied my same intensity and my craft, my focus to call of duty.”

Woods played the game with the same dedication as he would give to golf.“I would spend 8 hours a day, I get a 30-minute lunch break. I’d be in my reclined grandpa chair playing,” he added.

The GOAT thought he was getting great at the game as he was able to clear all the campaigns. As the next step, he thought about playing online. Losing to children from around the globe humbled the legend. “When seven year olds are beating you from around the world… humbling.”

The interview gave the world an insight into the legend’s determination and perseverance.

Woods’ dedication and resilience are unmatched

The 47-year-old is one of the most dedicated athletes of all time. He has spent countless hours on the practice range and in the gym to hone his skills and perfect his craft. Woods is known for his intense focus and determination. 

This has helped him to become one of the greatest golfers in history. He has won numerous major championships, set several PGA records, and has been a dominant force in the sport for over two decades.
