The 2023 edition of Shriners Children’s Open has concluded with Tom Kim coming out victorious. Making history with his two-peat win, Kim has been in the news for quite some time.

However, this is about the man who finished solo second with the support of his family and fans and was just one stroke away from winning it all. Adam Hadwin had a remarkable event as he contested for the top spot, and had he won, it would have been special as he had the strongest support of his daughter from afar.

The Shriners Children’s Open started on 12th October, with Tom Kim coming to defend his title. TPC Summerlin became a historical course as Kim won twice and Lexi Thompson became the 7th woman to compete among men.

Meanwhile, Hadwin had a bogey-free third round and shared the lead with Kim and 2 others. Coming on the ultimate day of an intense battle with Kim, Hadwin found his ball in a water hazard. This gave Tom a 2-stroke lead and even after making a 25-foot putt at the 18th hole, Hadwin had to suffice with a solo second win.

Back home, Hadwin had his three-year-old daughter cheering for him. The 35-year-old’s wife, Jessica Hadwin, shared an adorable video of their daughter having “fun” while watching her dad.

The Canadian golfer has only one PGA Tour victory in his career and this triumph could have added to the list. Regardless, the runner-up position made the Canadians proud and fans were quick to react to the video shared by Jessica and congratulated the couple.

This fan congratulated the couple and made fun of Adam’s famous builder hobbies and how he can now afford protective gear while doing them.

Another fan hopped on the accolade bandwagon, and once again showed his joy at Hadwin’s second-place finish.

This one pointed out that despite a loss, the golfer has earned $900K in prize money and that is still better.

Another complimented his game skills and congratulated him heartily.
