The 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale, home to WM Open is quite famous. Following the footsteps of the PGA Tour, LIV Golf also decided to have a party hole in Adelaide, Australia, which proved to be more than successful! And now, another Tour event is capitalizing on this success.
AT&T Byron Nelson is being organized at TPC Craig Ranch for the third time this year. Many new additions are being made to the course as the event completely sold out last year.

The stadium is planning to go even bigger at number 17 this year. The iconic 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale and the modern 12th hole at The Grange Golf Club will soon be joined by TPC Craig Ranch’s signature par-3 17th hole, which is undergoing significant modifications in preparation for the upcoming PGA Tour event, AT&T Byron Nelson. The capacity of the stadium is increased from 3500 to 600 and 41 new hospitality units are added.

Fans react to the continued streak of the stadium holes, this time at TPC Craig Ranch
Flooding the comments, the fans went right at it and lashed out at the originality of the idea. Some fans even called it a “rip-off,” and added,”Be original.”
Everybody trying to be WM Phoenix Open now. A good idea to rip off.

A fan was in favor of the idea but had one concern related to the Scottsdale “luster.”
Cool. Scottsdale 16 is going to lose its luster tho

Another golf fan discouraged the idea of yet another party hole stadium, and did not see any point. He suggested that adding one more hole will just make it less special.
Don't like this where it will take away from Scottsdale 16th hole. Need to have it once a year and make it a special event to keep the hype around it
— Mac Smith (@MaccAttacc17) May 4, 2023
One fan jumped in support of LIV and asked everyone to have the same kind of “distaste” for the new hole.
Everyone who was bad mouthing LIV for doing this needs to weigh in here with equal distaste.
