Rory McIlroy is one of the few players who are still in support of the PGA Tour despite the ongoing LIV Golf transitions. The golfer has proven his loyalty to the tour several times and has no intentions of shifting to the rival tour. However, some people are unable to digest the fact that McIlroy is still supporting the tour. Among them is Donald Trump’s favorite author, Nick Adams, who recently took a nasty dig at the golfer.

Nick Adams called Rory McIlroy a fraud
Nick Adams received a lot of fame after former POTUS Donald Trump tweeted about his books and called him his favorite author. The author has been a great supporter of Trump ever since, and speaks well of him. And after Trump extended his support to the LIV Golf CEO, Greg Norman, Adams didn’t stay behind.

Trump hosted a few events for the LIV Golf league at his Bedminster golf club. His support for the new Saudi-led league was made clear after he talked about it at the tournament. Trump said that Saudi Arabia has made a great decision of investing its money in Greg Norman’s LIV Golf “business”. He also said that the players who are still staying back on the PGA Tour are losing a lot of opportunities in their golfing careers.
After his loud support to LIV Golf, Nick Adams knew what he had to do. And so, he targeted his old rival Rory McIlroy and tweeted, “In a world full of frauds like Rory McIlroy, be like Greg Norman.” There was no context as to why the author made the statement about McIlroy. But one thing that all golf fans know is that Rory McIlroy is one of the most influential PGA Tour players. And maybe that is why Adams thought of bringing him in the picture on behalf of the PGA Tour.
Golf fans react to Adams’ tweet taunting McIlroy
A lot of fans gave reactions to Nick Adams’ recent tweet about Rory McIlroy and Donald Trump. However, different fans had different approaches to reason Adams’ statement. Some said that McIlroy had done nothing other than sticking up for the PGA Tour. While others said that it could be because Adams doesn’t like the fact that McIlroy doesn’t agree with LIV Golf’s policies. Here are a few fan reactions to the tweet:

Fans are not wrong when they say that McIlroy has only supported the PGA Tour with all his heart. He has made many records on the field and could have easily received an offer from the Saudi-funded league. But his loyalty towards the former tour has made him the golf star he is today.
