If the 45th and 46th presidents of the United States were battling against each other, who would win? Not in elections but on a golf course. There is a history of most POTUS(s) playing a round of golf in and around the White House Lawn or to the nearest golf course in Washington DC. But who does it better?

Among past and present presidents, Donald Trump is renowned for his passion for the greens. Joe Biden might not be as popular as Trump for his golf endeavors, but he still plays and is widely regarded as one of the finest presidential golfers. But who is better than who? Let’s find out.

Donald Trump has been playing golf since his college days at the University of Pennsylvania. He told Golf Digest in 2014 that he was “very self-taught” and “a natural golfer”. Trump has won several club championships, the latest being in August at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. Sharing a post on social media, the former president declared he had scored a round of 66.

The 77-year-old amateur golfer is said to be the best president with the lowest handicap score. Although Trump played his last round of golf in 2020, as per Golf Digest’s Washington D.C.’s Top 100 golfers, the former president stands 11th with a handicap of 2.5 (previously it was 2.8).

On the other hand, the current President of the United States, Joe Biden, is not as much of an avid golfer as Trump. He has not won as many club championships nor does he have as many golf courses as Trump. However, he does have a membership in Wilmington and Delaware.

According to the same list of Golf Digest, the 46th President has a handicap of 10, which was 6.7 at some point. But Biden does not play as much golf as Trump. So comparatively, Trump wins the battle for a better golfer against Biden. However, the boastful handicap score of Trump has always been under scrutiny and doubted.
