But playing golf certainly was a huge stepping stone towards his riches. And with LIV Golf’s emergence, many defectors also saw their net worth skyrocket. But the scenario has also got fans wondering as to who the richest golfers who play on the Tour are. Well, let’s explore the top five of them, besides the golf legend himself.

1. Rory McIlroy

McIlroy is currently one of the biggest names on the PGA Tour. As per Celebrity Net Worth’s richest golfers list, the 23-time PGA Tour winner has a net worth of $170 million, making him the second-richest golfer currently playing on the Tour, second only to his rival and close friend, Tiger Woods. This comes as no surprise since the Irishman has some huge sponsors like Nike, Omega, and TaylorMade endorsing him.

The four-time major winner has won 23 times on the Tour since turning pro in 2007. His all-time career earnings on the course currently stand at a whopping $68.173,835. And that’s just from the 194 cuts he made out of 222 events that he competed in.

Last year alone he had annual earnings of $7.5 million from his games on the course. Besides that, the PGA Tour star also made 34 million off the course through his endorsements. Moreover, he ranked 37th on The World’s Highest-Paid Athletes list.

2. Jordan Spieth

Although of late Spieth hasn’t been in his top form, on his good days, there aren’t many who can hold a candle to him. The golf pro is additionally the only other player besides McIlroy and Tiger Woods who is playing on the tour to be valued at over $100 million. His net worth is estimated to be $110 million.

The American golfer has won 13 times on the Tour, including three major championships. His last win came in April 2022, and since then the PGA Tour pro hasn’t fared too well. But overall, he has made $53,728,295 on the course since turning pro in 2013. Additionally, he’s made the cut in 200 of the 242 events he’s competed in.

3. Adam Scott

Scott is undoubtedly one of the most skilled PGA Tour Veterans and this reflects in his $50 million net worth valuation. He entered the top 100 world rankings back in 2001 and has since, for over two decades, been up there. The Australian golfer even rose to world rank one back in 2014.

The 2013 Masters win to date remains the only major championship the golf pro has been able to grab hold of. Including this, Scott has 14 wins on the Tour. He’s also made the cut in 309 of 371 events he’s played in and through them earned more than his net worth, $60,160,624 on the course.

4. Jason Day

In 2006, The 35-year-old turned pro, and two years after he started playing on the PGA Tour. Day has a net worth of $50 million, which makes him one of the richest Australian golfers in the world. Not just that, he is also the fourth richest player on the Tour, excluding Tiger Woods, of course!

Day had two amazing years on the Tour in 2015 and 2016 and amassed nine wins in total, including his one and only major championship. In total, the golf pro has 12 wins on the Tour. He has also played in 319 events and made the cut in 244 of those. Officially, he’s also made $52,004,420 in nearly 15 years of playing on the PGA Tour.

5. Luke Donald

Donald, being a British-born player, competes on both the European and PGA Tours. In 2001 he turned pro about a year later began playing on the PGA Tour. Besides his decades of professional experience, the 45-year-old also has a huge net worth of $40 million. The Englishman has yet to win his first major championship despite having played for over 20 years as a pro.

On the PGA Tour, Donald has competed in 408 events and made the cut in 281 of those. He’s won five times on the Tour in total. And across his 22 years of playing, he has earned $37,206,401.
