Recently, Lexie Spiranac was spotted on the podcast show called Playing A Round With Paige. She had a very indulging conversation with the show host Sam. However, the most crucial part of her discussion was the breaking down of barriers to entry in golf. She said: “And I feel like with golf, the barrier to entry can be so high.”
The magnitude of barriers that come in the way of learning the sport are many, some she pointed out in a jiffy saying, “What clubs do you bring? What, where do you put your gloves? What type of balls do you get? Do you need tees? What course do you go to? What do you wear to the course?”
These questions haunt the minds of each and every beginner. But in the course of further conversation and bringing her book into focus, she said it aims to encourage people “to just pick up a club and try go to your local course”
The book pushes the new golfers not to be scared of the various barriers that get in their way. Encouraging them further, she said, “there’s going to be a lot of people there who can help you get your first foot into golf.”
