Yes, Vincent Norrman won his first PGA Tour tournament on Sunday. At one time, the 25-year-old golfer appeared to give it all away as he sank an 8-foot bogey putt on the 72nd hole as play-off loomed large. Then in a stunning comeback, he managed a par on the same hole to defeat Nathan Kimsey at the $3,800,000 event.

Norman confessed that he hadn’t dreamt of the victory. “…I don’t think I’ve dreamt this big yet honestly,” said the Swede after claiming the win. “It’s amazing. I’m so happy with both Georgia and Florida State, what they’ve done for me. Can’t wait to go back to Tallahassee and celebrate.” He went on to add: “I don’t think I can process this for a while. I’m lost for words. It’s amazing.”

When asked about his further goals, the young man said that he will leave it for his caddie to figure it out. One can’t blame him for being overwhelmed. The magnitude of his success is indeed quite big. One always gets emotional about their first triumph.

A peek into Vincent Norman’s golf career
Norman, who used to play college golf at Florida State, turned professional in June 2021. Thereafter, he became an affiliate member of the European Tour. He participated in his first professional competition at the BMW International Open. His amazing skills and dedication to the sport made him secure the sixth position on the leaderboard. Last year, he qualified for the 2022-23 PGA tour season.
As far as the Barbasol Championship is concerned, he was able to win 300 FedExCup points as well as $684,000 which is the winner’s prize money. He also rose to position 61 in the season-long standings. It may be noted Top 70 players will advance to the playoffs.
