A caddie is someone that is the closest to a golfer. Even more than their family members. Joe LaCava has had the front to ticket Tiger Woods amazing performance since 2011. He has stuck by the legend during highs and lows. The Connecticut man used to work for Dustin Johnson before joining the legend. Moreover, he has remained loyal to Tiger when he couldn’t compete because of his injuries. Even though he missed out on many opportunities. He has the utmost respect for Woods and has compared him to a legendary baseball player.
Tiger Woods is as good as Babe Ruth
In, a recent interview with Bob and Frank on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio, Joe talked about how he thinks Tiger is the Babe Ruth of golf. “Basically, he is the babe ruth of golf.”

Joe believes he should be more appreciative of his job. “When you say that…., I think I should probably be more appreciative. I think I am anyway, but the fact that I see this up close and personal is pretty cool.”
Moreover, LaCava said that when he is on the course he does not get caught up in focusing on Tiger’s aim for the lowest scores possible, but rather does his job. Nevertheless, he has the utmost respect for the golf great and insane talent.
Joe’s loyalty toward Woods

The 47-year-old has gone on several sabbaticals due to his injuries. But, surprisingly, Joe has stuck with him throughout it all. Although his earning potential was being wasted just by being idle all this time, he chose to remain loyal to the legend.
The legend competed on the PGA Tour after over two years at Riviera. And it serves as more evidence of Joe’s respect and loyalty for the legend. Although he did take up a few stints in 2021, LaCava did not resign from his position as Wood’s caddie.

It is very evident how the pair have gotten close over the years. Moreover, Joe’s son caddied for Charlie Woods during the 2020 and 2021 PNC Championships.
