Every good golf experience requires a well-maintained golf course throughout the season. But sometimes these courses get affected by natural agents. But even people can damage the greens. A recent act by a woman that damaged the greens has been gaining a lot of traction on social media.

These incidents are quite common. It was only a few months ago that a famous media personality spotted plenty of patches created on the green. The frequency of these incidents and how bad it is for the greens has drawn out the censure of the golf community.

A golf course gets wrecked by a woman

A huge amount of money is invested in revamping golf courses. Also, reshaping the greens is quite a hassle, as people keep ruining them again and again. A video went viral on Instagram where a woman can be seen clawing the ground since she could not bend to place the putter. Then she places the ball on that clawed-out patch of greens and hits the ball. The video also carried a question for the fans. It said, “Is this acceptable?”

This is not the first time someone has been oblivious to the maintenance of golf courses. A few days ago, one such incident was pointed out by the PGA Tour analyst, Lou Stagner

He posted a video of a course that was destroyed intentionally. Even his caption on the post quite explicitly reflected his rage after witnessing the situation. Fans also agreed that such an action should result in the punishment of the culprit.

A fan stated that the woman could bend down to place the putter if she could do the same to place the ball. “If she can bend down and place the ball. She can bend down and put a tee in the ground.”

A person said that the act showed her lack of respect for the course. “Such disrespect and entitlement speaks volumes about this person. Yuck.”

A netizen commented, “I’m fine with it, provided it’s repaired afterwards.”

Similarly, another golf netizen seemed to be okay with the act as long as it left the course the way it was before . “Nothing wrong with that. Just fix it when you are done”

A fan brought Justin Thomas into context and blamed him for doing the same. “Justin Thomas has done this a couple time at pga events. He made a small mound vs a giant gouge though”

A fan used some harsh words to describe what the woman did: “Lazy awful ugly bad”
