However, the big question still remains whether Tiger Woods will play at the 2022 Masters? Incredible news regarding Tiger Woods

Eldrick Woods is yet to play a single tournament in the 2022 season. He last played at the 2021 PNC Championship with his son Charlie Axel Woods. Tiger sustained injuries to his right leg back in February 2021. He was out of the game for quite some time before making his comeback in December last year.

However, with the Masters just around the corner, his chances of playing are looking great. Given the sweet memories he has with the event, Masters can be the event that he can choose to make his return.

Moreover, a recent revelation by the Augusta National makes his chances of making a return even more possible. Augusta National recently released the list of past champions who are not playing at the 2022 Masters. The list included some prominent names like Phil Mickelson and Jack Nicklaus. Not to forget, that club can only include the professionals in that list upon their request.

However, the list of past champions not playing the 2022 Masters did not include Tiger Woods’ name. That means up until now, he is playing at the 2022 Masters. Although, the professionals have the time to decide whether they want to play or withdraw from the event.

Tiger Woods’ fans will have to wait until the tournament week to see whether Woods is playing or not. These few weeks are truly going to be interesting.

Woods’ recent Masters win

The 82-time PGA Tour winner won his fifth green jacket back in 2019. Woods emphatically won the 2019 Masters with an overall score of 13-under-par. As a result, he won the event with a close one-shot lead. Moreover, he won a prize money share worth $2,070,000. Woods carded a final round of 70, two-under-par on Sunday at Augusta.

 His final round of 70 included three birdies and two bogeys on the front nine and moved out in one-under-par, 35. Tiger made two bogeys and three birdies on the back nine en route to his famous victory on Sunday. His win at the Masters in 2019 was his first major championship win in almost 11 years.
