Days After His Dominating Win, Jon Rahm Thanks Rafael Nadal For His Post Victory Voice Message

When one player achieves great milestones in their career, other great players come in and celebrate their victory alongside them with supportive messages and phone calls. The same was the case for Jon Rahm. He beautifully won the 87th edition of the Masters this year. His first green jacket was followed by appreciation from many, but one stood out from the rest and was very special for him. He revealed the person behind the message during a press conference.

The Instagram handle of the PGA Tour has posted a snippet of Rahm’s press conference. “Game recognize game @RafaelNadal 🤝 @JonRahm 🇪🇸.” Ahead of the RSM Classic this week in South Carolina, the reporter asked if he was thrilled to hear from anyone after his legendary Masters victory. The Spaniard did not receive any surprising messages but was thrilled by one. The pro golfer said, “The one I was thrilled to hear from, Rafael Nadal, left me a very nice voice message.” He appreciated Rafael Nadal and said, “I’ve seen him do unbelievable things, and I’ve texted him every time. He left me a very nice message.”

The tennis king, who has a $220 million net worth, was happy with Rahm’s victory at Augusta. Even though the voice message sent by Nadal to the PGA Tour pro wasn’t revealed, the tennis star’s tweet will be an example of how he felt after the golfer achieved a great milestone. He posted Rahm’s pictures and tweeted a congratulations message in Spanish. It roughly translates to “Congratulations champion, congratulations MASTER! Once again you have shown how GREAT you are!!!!”

Getting such appreciation from the tennis legend who is currently ranked world No. 15 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals is commendable. Despite being from a different sport, he did not hesitate to appreciate a good game played by Rahm. However, Rahm also paid tribute to another Spanish fellow golfer, Sergio Garcia, in his post Masters press conference stating that he was the one who gave him hope of winning the green jacket and the $3.24M.

Rahm is now getting ready to play at RSM Classic – a PGA Tour event hosted by Davis Love III. Hopefully, his strength will allow him to ace here as well. But for now, the pro golfer cannot help but remember the feeling on the finishing hole of the Augusta National. He revealed the best feeling about it and said, “Having the jacket on all afternoon is the most special part and also the dinner with the members. And then the time I spent alone with my family, relaxed, for 20 minutes.” His victory didn’t let him sleep that night! “It was very nice. Then, at night, I could hardly sleep. It was a lot of emotions,” the golfer confessed.
