There is hardly anyone in the sport of golf who has had more impact than Tiger Woods. The golfer’s accolades in the sport, along with his contribution to the welfare of society off the course, will always be remembered for generations to come. Like many, his niece Cheyenne Woods too once disclosed the high amount of respect she holds for her 15-time Major winning uncle.

Cheyenne is the daughter of Tiger’s half-brother Earl Woods Jr. The 32-year-old decided to follow in the footsteps of her professional golfer uncle and made her debut in the LGPA Tour in 2015. Three years later, Cheyenne had an interview with CNN where she discussed all her surroundings, which led her to adopt life on the course.

During the open-heart interview, the LGPA star discussed missing her grandfather, the equality of women in sports, and much more. However, it is hard not to mention her uncle, who has 82 professional wins to his name. When asked if she took any advice from Tiger Woods, Cheyenne said, “He’s been a huge inspiration for me.”

She then elaborated on how Woods has been helping her to become a better golfer. Cheyenne said, “Since I’ve been professional he’s been very helpful and just been willing to help. Whether it’s me struggling with a string of missed cuts or just needing a putting tip. He’s been great with helping with that.”

The LGPA star then added on how the niece-uncle duo is the only member of the family who are playing professional golf. “It’s difficult being a professional golfer and he gets it. No one else in my family plays golf. When I do need someone to bounce something off, or try to get some advice, he’s always been great,” added Cheyenne.

The female golfer ended by stating that she doesn’t feel pressure despite being compared to Tiger Woods. Cheyenne said, “I do feel I have my own identity now and I don’t feel as much pressure with expectation or anything of that sort.” Still only 32 years of age, Cheyenne Woods has a lot more to achieve in the sport.

Moreover, the expansion of the influence of golf around the Woods family is also expanding, as Tiger’s son Charlie is also on the road to turning professional. Sooner or later, the fans might see all three golfers from the Woods family competing together at an event.
