It is a universal fact that life is not always easy. Sometimes, it teaches lessons in the most crooked ways possible. Lexi Thompson, for one, can attest to the same. Although she is no stranger to seeing the bright side of life even during the darkest of days, she remains a co-survivor in her mother’s long journey against cancer. She once talked about how her mother’s fight with cancer has inspired her to be a better woman and a player.

Lexi Thompson started her career very early on in life. In fact, she was the youngest golfer to qualify for the US Women’s Open at just 12. Ever since her debut, the pro golfer has remained strong and her game has improved with every passing year.

Lexi Thompson would be happy if she is half the woman her mother is!

Lexi Thompson’s mother, Judy Thompson, was diagnosed with breast cancer and has been a survivor for almost a decade now. When they thought that finally, the fight against cancer was over, it metastasized and manifested itself in the form of uterine cancer. However, even after her long struggle with the life-threatening disease, she still manages to see the bright side of things. She never fails to inspire the people around her, especially her daughter, Lexi Thompson.

There is no doubt that Lexi’s mother’s optimism during, probably, the most difficult time of her life, inspired her daughter. Lexi has stayed strong throughout her mother’s journey and has continuously worked on becoming the best version of herself.

She also talked about what was the message her mother gave her, and it’s truly heartwarming to watch their bond grow stronger, even in times of immense stress like such.

The pro golfer’s mother said to her, “No matter what, I love you, just go out, do your best, that’s all you can do.”

The reoccurrence of the malignant tumor affected Judy Thompson. In such times of distress, it was hard to get her through to the best help available in her case on such short notice.

However, the famous pro golfer, Morgan Pressel, helped her friend Lexi to get her mother the best help possible, and that too as fast as she possibly can.

Lexi made sure to express her gratitude to Pressel. She said, “I can’t give big enough thanks to Morgan Pressel. Morgan helped out and got her into the hospital.”
