In a fun introduction to what’s about to come, Mickelson asked Horvat to name his favorite golfer on the count of three, without thinking. In perfect sync, both Mickelson and Horvat shouted out “Rory McIlroy!” at the exact same time. Mickelson then asked Horvat to name his least favorite golfer of all time, and again, they responded in unison, shouting “Wesley Bryan!” They repeated this feat when Mickelson asked Horvat to name his go-to karaoke song, with both of them exclaiming “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield!

As the conversation came to a close, Mickelson asked Horvat if he wanted to start a 2v2 series against other celebrities and pros. In perfect sync, they both exclaimed “Yup!” It’s clear that Mickelson and Horvat are on the same wavelength, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. “2v2 Series Coming this January… who should we challenge first? @GrantHorvatGolf @HyFlyers_GC”, read the caption. In an interview on The Rough Cut Golf Podcast, Horvat expressed his concerns about the growing saturation of golf content on the platform. “I think it’s just really saturated,” Horvat said, drawing from his own experience as a golf content creator. He believes that the space has become overcrowded, with many creators producing similar content. “A lot of the things have already been done. It’s a lot of the same old stuff,” Horvat noted, highlighting the challenges of creating unique and engaging content in a crowded market, so maybe the upcoming series is exactly the thrill we need.
