The PNC Championship is just a few days away, and the biggest question on the minds of fans is whether or not Tiger Woods is playing. For some years now the 15-time major winner has been participating in the tournament with his son Charlie Woods as his partner.

And even though John Daly and his son John Daly II frequently outperform the pair, it is still a treat for the audience to see Woods compete alongside his son. This year, the 15-time major winner has not yet made it clear whether he will be playing or not. While the golf legend makes up his mind about the December event, however, it seems like he is spending his time enriching his literature knowledge!

Tiger Woods is on the hunt for an entertaining book

Tiger Woods’s self-imposed sabbatical has given him a lot of time to catch up on the activities that he has been missing due to his super-busy schedule. Firstly, all this year, Woods has been a constant golf coach and guide to his son, and he has even been a caddie for him at tournaments.

Recently,  the golfer was spotted in a bookstore with two books in his hand. Undoubtedly, he was searching for a good read. The photo was shared by a fan who was standing by Woods’s side, with the 82-time PGA Tour winner sporting a casual look donning some stunning Nike wear.

Woods was wearing a black hoodie, grey shorts, and white sneakers, all products of his multi-billion-dollar partner. As per the fan, he met the golf great when the two of them “reached for the same book”. The post was then thereafter shared by NUCLR Golf, which went on to ask the golf world to guess what book Woods was reaching for.

Fans were quick to channel their detectives, trying to find out what the book was that grasped the attention of the legendary player. In doing so, they came up with a number of theories about what literary wonder Woods was indulging in. Some even got the name right!

Fans become Sherlock Holmes to detect Woods’ new thriller

As the fan and Woods were standing in the Mysteries and Thrillers section, some well-read fans made a good guess about what book it might be by looking at what he held in his hand.

One fan gave a very golf-influenced answer: “Looks like they are in the mysteries/thrillers section. Maybe for mysteries What a Healthy Tiger Would Look Like in 2023 by Jim Nantz or for a thriller 2019 Masters!”

This user thinks that Woods might be reading Jack Nicklaus’s book “Golf My Way by Jack Nicklaus.”

One fan expressed enthusiasm to learn the details of the book the legend had picked up. “Need to know rn.”

Another fan, without revealing the name of the book, guessed the author correctly. “Dean Koontz.”

Yet another fan seems to have read the novel; his guess was spot on. “Strangers by Dean Koontz.”

Woods’ comeback is indeed much awaited by his fans, and in the meantime, if he chooses to participate in the PNC next month, then it will be a big gift for the fans. Meanwhile, however, it seems like a thriller is on his mind!
