With The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican event coming to a close, the LPGA Tour is set to reach its final stop this season with the CME Group Tour Championship. The final event also offers the highest winner’s cheque to golfers aside from the US Open.

Although there is still a big gap between payouts at PGA Tour events and LPGA Tour events, it is significantly reducing. The US Open, too, increased the total purse to $11 million. Ahead of the $7 million CME Tour that begins on November 16, let’s take a look at the highest-paid LPGA stars this season.

Lilia Vu tops the LPGA money list for this year. After winning her fourth title at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican event, Vu has had a phenomenal season this year. The ANNIKA’s prize money of $487,500 took her total career earnings to $3,252,303 this season.

Notably, Vu also won two Majors this season, winning $765,000 at the Chevron Championship early this year and a further $135,000 at the AIG Women’s Open. If she can net her fifth title this season, at the CME Group Tour Championship, Vu will rake in another $2 million.

Following Vu is another American LPGA Tour Pro, Allisen Corpuz. With 23 events played this season, Vu’s Solheim Cup teammate comes a little short of the current World No.1, with $3,047,813 in her pocket. A lion’s share of that came from her US Open victory in June 2023. The one-time LPGA Tour winner received the $2 million cheque at Pebble Beach.

Ruoning Yin, with 20 events played this year, has earned $2,759,677 in prize money. The current Rolex World No.1 has won two LPGA Tour events this year, including a Major. The Chinese superstar pocketed $1.5 million in July 2023 at Baltusrol Golf Club. All three ladies will tee off at the CME Group Tour Championship next week. Interestingly, Yin and Corpuz also have a chance to usurp the American Pro in the official money list.

The CME Group Tour Championship, aside from the US Open, has the highest purse value in the tour. That’s only fitting for the tournament that crows the season-long champion. The final event in the LPGA Tour calendar has a main qualifying criterion that lets it select only the Top 60 players from the Race to CME Globe leaderboard.

With last year’s defending champion, Lydia Ko crashing out of the competition, arguably, the most thrilling battle will be between Lilia Vu and Celine Boutier. Both are in phenomenal form this year, with four wins to their names.

In the recently concluded The ANNIKA tour, Lilia Vu was crowned the champion, while the French International failed to make the cut. Boutier also sits at the fourth position on the LPGA Tour’s money list. The $2 million winner’s payout will also catapult her to the top, cruising past Vu comfortably.
