The second day of the Ryder Cup saw America being dominated by the Luke Donald-led squad, much to the disappointment of fans all around the globe. But there was a special someone who took the humiliation personally and grabbed the opportunity to hope for a better performance while taking a subtle jab at Zach Johnson for his captain’s picks, none other than Bryson DeChambeau.

Well, it doesn’t come as a surprise when the American professional decides not to stay silent during the depressing sessions. And that is exactly what happened when he took to his social media handle to remind the captain of his worth, surprising many!

The LIV Golfer has been in very good form, with his second win in 2023 coming off the event in Chicago. But even so, the professional was looked over during the captain’s picks, much to his disappointment, leading to the 30-year-old taking to his Instagram to post a throwback to his last Ryder Cup appearance.

The video uploaded on his handle showcases the American Ryder Cup star driving the ball off magnificently from the tee at Whistling Straits at the 2021 Ryder Cup. The professional was able to hit the golf ball to the greens, setting up a nice putt to win the match as part of a stunning display of golf where the US won against their rivals by a whopping 19-9 margin.

The post can also be seen as basically taking a nudge at Johnson for the poor performance that the squad has put up over the past two days, all the while strongly hoping for the situation to get better. The team is currently behind their rivals with a score of 9.5–2.5 in favor of the Europeans.

Although the post uploaded a while ago showcases DeChambeau’s ardent desire for the US to make a comeback in Rome, he has done so while slightly poking Johnson. Besides, it is not the first time he has expressed his dissatisfaction with the skipper!

The golfer had taken to an interview after his LIV Golf Chicago victory, where he mentioned how “it would have been nice to at least get a call” from the skipper for the tournament. The 8X PGA Tour champ also pointed out that the current performance he has displayed was much better than his showcase at the 2020 US Open, where he won his first major.

Adding to his opinion, the 1X major winner also indicated how Johnson should have contacted more people from the PIF-funded league, all the while wishing the best for his LIV Golf peer Brooks Koepka. Nevertheless, the professional admitted that the no-call situation does sting a little since he was hoping to represent his nation in the prestigious tournament.
