Bailey Tardy, the world number 455, is in title contention at the ongoing tournament. Tardy is tied third after the completion of the third round. The day before she was atop the leaderboard.
On Saturday, when asked about what she would do with the big check if she goes on to win, Tardy said she would buy a house. “I’ve lived with my parents for the majority of my life and moved down to Florida for the off-season, and then this has been like the first time I’ve lived in Atlanta not in my parents’ home.”.
She added, “So definitely – solely because I couldn’t afford it. I couldn’t pay for rent and I didn’t think it was worth paying rent when I was on the road so much. So yeah, definitely buying a home and having a nice backyard for my dog to run in.”
Tardy is at present four shots off the pace and a great round on Sunday can help her realize her dream of buying a house.
