Is Paige Spiranac redefining what it means to be a golfer in today's conservative sports world?

The golf community can be brutal, but Paige Spiranac knows that all too well. Despite facing heaps of criticism over the years, she’s still passionate about sharing her love for golf. In her latest Instagram post, she got real about her renewed obsession with the game, revealing that fans have been begging for more golf content – and she’s stoked to deliver.

This year’s been a game-changer for Spiranac’s golf journey. She’s put in the grind, dedicating herself to intense practice sessions, and it’s seriously paid off. Not only has she played more rounds this year than in recent memory, but she’s also crushing it on the course. Her excitement’s contagious as she shares her adventures on amazing courses, reigniting a love for the game that had fizzled out. “I’ve been getting asked a lot to post more golf content lol and it’s funny because this is the first year in a while where I actually practiced hard, played some really cool courses, and fell back in love with the game❤️ I played more this year than I have in a long time and honestly playing better than ever”, she said.

We love how honest she is about golf being a love-hate thing for her – who hasn’t been there, right? For Spiranac, scores used to dictate her self-worth, making golf super stressful. But that’s all changed now as she has promised to share more of her golf escapades with her followers, giving us a deeper look into her journey. But it seems like the hate is not off her back yet. A fan commented on her post and said, “The trouble is you earn way more money doing that other stuff”.

But Spiranac wasn’t one step behind in clapping back as she wrote, “Actually that’s not really true lol golf is a conservative industry so the “other stuff” can impact brand deals lol I do it because I like it and don’t feel like a woman should cover up if she doesn’t want to”. Many others were also trolling the golfer by saying, “Do you consider this golf content? I’m happy with both either way” and “No one asked this who are you kidding”.

Paige Spiranac, the golf influencer, has faced her fair share of online trolls, but recently, she’s been subjected to vicious body shaming. After throwing the first pitch at a Brewers game, Spiranac was bombarded with hurtful comments about her appearance. “I feel that I am happy and I’m healthy and I look fine. Because I have a little bit of cellulite, it shouldn’t warrant these types of comments,” she fired back on Instagram. The constant criticism has taken a toll on Spiranac, who admits to feeling pressure to look perfect all the time.

As she navigates the complexities of being an influencer, Spiranac acknowledges that her body is a significant part of her brand. “My body is such a big part of my brand and my business… I know that my body will always be criticized because I put it out there and I need to be able to accept that,” she shared. Despite the challenges, Spiranac is determined to break free from the expectation of perfection. She’s seeking therapy, focusing on lifestyle and fitness content, and embracing vulnerability. As she approaches 30, Spiranac is ready to start a new chapter, prioritizing happiness and self-acceptance over people-pleasing.
